Alessia Invernizzi is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the European Politics Group at the Center for Comparative and International Studies of ETH Zurich. Her main research within the research unit focuses on the determinants of European boundary configurations and the allocation of resources by the EU, particularly in relation to external borders and crisis responses. She holds a PhD in Political Economy from the University of Konstanz, and her work sits at the intersection of quantitative research methods, international political economy, and European integration.
