Prof. Dr. Susanne K. Schmidt is Professor of Policy Analysis at the University of Bremen. She was Dean of the Graduate School BIGSSS (2009-2012), and Dean of the Faculty of Social Science (2019-2025). She authored The European Court of Justice and the Policy Process (Oxford University Press, 2018) and has contributed scholarly articles to prominent peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Public Policy, Journal of European Public Policy, West European Politics, European Union Politics, and Journal of Common Market Studies. Currently, her work focuses on the policy implications of case law of the European Court of Justice at the European and the national level.
